Police Records Checks for OCMHA Volunteers

I hope that you're looking forward to getting back on the ice in a few weeks, albeit with a few extra rules in place.
As you are likely aware, all individuals volunteering with the OCMHA need to have a valid Vulnerable Sector Police record check. That requirement will continue to apply in this somewhat unusual year.
In order to be valid, your police record check must have been completed within the past 3 years.
The Ottawa Police have advised that the process for police record checks will take longer than usual this year due to COVID restrictions. If you are planning to volunteer this year, and your police check is expired, or will expire during the year, we would strongly encourage you to start the process as soon as possible so that you are ready to go when we are.
